Hospitality with Tradition of Family Kirchler
* Johann Kirchler purchased the property of the thermal springs in 1847. From 1862 to 1864 he built the "Badgasthaus" and also constructed wooden bath cabins with boilers next to the springs. He was the first one to open up Hintertux for the tourism.
* Michael Kirchler constructed boiler with baths. In 1910 he started to build a hotel with then unbelievable 90 beds, which was inaugurated in 1914.
*Josef Kirchler I purchased the house "Batzen" and built the stable in 1927.
* Josef Kirchler II and his wife Rosa were the first ones to offer rooms with private baths in 1960.
The house Batzen was completely reconstructed and extended in 1965. In 1968 they constructed the thermal indoor swimming pool. From then on the healing thermal water was availible in the entire house.
In 1976 Josef and Rosa Kirchler opened the "Kirchlerhof" in Vorderlanersbach.
In 1979 the Hotel "Der Rindererhof" located in the bottom station in Hintwertux and in
1986 the appartment house "Zur Sonne" also in Hintertux followed.
They bought the Sporthotel in Lanersbach in 1997. The building was totally dismantled in 2001 and the new Sporthotel Kirchler was built.
