CROSS-COUNTRY PARADISE TUX

In the Tux Valley, you'll find a true cross-country ski paradise. There are a total of 16 km of classic trails from Tux-Vorderlanersbach to Hintertux.

  • Of these, 14 km are on the Luggi-Gredler trail from Tux-Vorderlanersbach to Madseit.
  • A 1.5 km trail in Hintertux (ideal for technique training or a short lap).

The Hintertux trail starts directly behind the hotel. Various difficulty levels allow both advanced and beginners to enjoy a sporty break amidst the picturesque winter landscape. Some local ski schools also offer cross-country skiing lessons – for proper technique and tracking.

CROSS-COURSE TRAILS IN THE ZILLERTAL

Auen cross-country trail

2.5 km long Auen cross-country trail starts in Tux-Vorderlanersbach, runs along the scenic Tux brook underneath the TVB Tux-Finkenberg, and circles back to Tux-Vorderlanersbach. It is suitable for skating and classic cross-country skiers.

Free transport to Tuxertal
From Finkenberg (village) to Hintertux (Hintertux Glacier Railway) with Finkenberg-Hintertux shuttle.
You can use it for free by showing your valid Tux-Finkenberg ticket


Juns cross-country trail
The entrance to the moderately difficult Juns cross-country trail is in the parking lots at the beginning of Juns. It makes a 2.2 km tour around and returns to the starting point. Classic cross-country skiers and skating lovers use also here.

 

Luggi Gredler cross-country trail

On the trail of the Tyrolean biathlon icon Luggi Gredler. This diverse cross-country trail for classic skiers and skaters is named after the Tyrolean biathlon icon Ludwig "Luggi" Gredler. Classic skiers and skaters go between Vorderlanersbach and Madseit district.

 

Madseit cross-country trail
This 3.5 km long, moderately difficult cross-country trail is at an altitude of 1.405 meters and it is a part of the 14 kilometer trail from Hintertux through Madseit district.

No problem. Ski schools will be happy to give cross-country lessons and there is cross-country equipment to borrow or to purchase at all ski rental and sports shops.
